I have SO much love for this outfit, it feels so airy and fresh. The moss green top was my first choice to wear with these pants despite my inner girly-girl screaming “WEAR IT WITH PINK, DUH” but I wanted something different. Looking back I would probably add a thin brown belt to my pants but it didnt occur to me at the time since the pants have the cutest slip-closure instead of a button (so the floral pattern is on top of the clasp). I have to cheer on my shoes for a second, first: the color. I am in LOVE with this earthy brown as opposed to the classic and paler “nude”. Second: I’m pretty much walking on clouds. Almost. These heels are insanely comfortable and easy to walk in. Third: Under $40. Spring florals earth tones, give me more! And if you’ve ever wondered how to wear patterned pants – the most basic advice (and the best) I can give you is to wear it with a solid color that either matches something inside the pattern OR flows nicely with it AKA nothing too loud. With this, the pink would’ve been awesome (and is something I know I’ll do in the future) but the moss green os unexpected and allows the pants to shine on their own without blending into the base color for the pattern! But in this case, moss green or pink would’ve worked! Heck, even periwinkle blue wouldvw looked nice with this! My trick for shopping patterns also is space BETWEEN the pattern showcasing the fabric color (in this case it’s ivory) if this was floral EVERYWHERE with absolutely no ivory, then the best color to wear this wit would’ve been…. IVORY! Make sense? Anyways, happy weekend!!
